From May 21 to 23, 2025, the 4th Working Conference of the Process System Design Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") under the China Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association") was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan Province. The conference was co-organized by SimTech (Beijing) Software Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "SimTech Software Technology"), under the theme of "Deepening Industry Collaborative Innovation and Promoting High-Quality Development of Process System Design." Over thirty committee members from petrochemical design institutes and enterprises across the country gathered to discuss the industry's development strategy. The conference was chaired by Mr. Liu Bo, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Committee. Distinguished attendees included Mr. Sun Fubin, Deputy Director of the Association's Technology Development Department; Mr. Liu Jing, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Information Department of China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Co., Ltd.; Ms. Wang Zhihui, Deputy Director of the Technology Management Department of Huanqiu Beijing Company; and Ms. Wu Dejuan, Director of the Committee, all of whom delivered speeches at the meeting.
Centered on the core objectives of implementing the national "dual carbon" strategy and driving the green transformation and upgrading of the petrochemical industry, the conference systematically outlined the key work priorities for 2025. The agenda encompassed the dissemination of the Association's guiding principles, a review of the Committee's annual achievements, and discussions on standard development and professional training, all aimed at building consensus and charting a strategic course for the industry's high-quality development.
In his opening address, Mr. Liu Jing emphasized that process system design is the core link in petrochemical engineering construction. He stressed that the Committee should fully leverage its role as a bridge and catalyst, driven by technological innovation, to accelerate the adoption of digital and intelligent technologies and facilitate the green and low-carbon transition, thereby making greater contributions to the industry's high-quality development under the new landscape.
The conference conveyed the key principles from the Association's 2025 working conference, reviewed the achievements of both the Association and the Committee in 2024, and defined the work priorities for 2025. By strengthening the industry standard system, optimizing service mechanisms, and building a multi-tiered talent development framework, the Association aims to guide the industry in taking solid steps toward green, low-carbon, and digital-intelligent transformation through more precise services and efficient collaboration. These efforts are designed to inject momentum into the industry's sustainable development and provide clear direction for its high-quality growth.

To enhance the industry's standardization capabilities, the conference featured special training sessions on "Standardization Work of the Association" and "Requirements for the Compilation of Engineering Standards," led by Mr. Sun Fubin and Ms. Tian Ying, Senior Supervisor of the Association. Through policy interpretation, case studies, and on-site Q&A, the sessions provided systematic guidance on key operational aspects such as project initiation, drafting, and review. Committee members collectively conducted a thorough review of the standards and specifications to be revised, discussed potential new standards in response to practical needs and the development of new energy sources, and established task assignments and schedules for the preparation and revision of various standards, ensuring that these standards remain current and effectively guide engineering practice.
Mr. Qin Yunfeng, General Manager of SimTech Software Technology, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the company's Honghu series simulation software. As a domestic innovation, this software achieves a breakthrough integration of steady-state simulation, dynamic simulation, and RTO modeling into a single platform. It not only serves as a precise substitute for imported simulation software but also deeply integrates safety relief analysis and intelligent calculation modules, enhancing the overall efficiency of the relief system through algorithm optimization. The technological breakthrough of the SimTech Honghu series signifies a major leap forward in the self-reliance and control capabilities of domestic industrial software in the field of process simulation. Furthermore, its full-scenario solutions offer the industry both a professional and economically viable option for digital transformation.
The successful convening of the 4th Working Conference marks the beginning of a new development phase for the Process System Design Professional Committee. Taking this conference as a starting point, the Committee will continue to play its leading role in the industry, pooling the wisdom of all stakeholders to inject strong momentum into building a green, intelligent, and high-efficiency petrochemical industrial system, and contributing to the successful achievement of the goals set forth in the "15th Five-Year Plan."
